Thomas (Bud) Carr was born on January 12, 1932 to Thomas Lester Carr, Sr. and Cleo Faye (Sacra) Carr and passed away from this world on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Bud was born and raised in Chickasha and had one brother and three sisters. He graduated from Chickasha High School in 1950. Bud served in the U.S. Navy in Guam, 1952-1953. He married Burnie (Jodie) Turpin Carr on December 5, 1959 and had 51 wonderful years together, before her passing. Bud and Burnie had one daughter, Darla (Carr) Williams, who was his pride and joy. He had three grandchildren, Gary, Jeremy and Julia, who he enjoyed and spent time with.
Bud worked for PSO for 32 years until his retirement in 1997. Bud was known as a kind, gentle, patient family man loved by all. In the past he spent time at the lake and playing cards with friends. He woke up early every morning to go on walks. You could always find him outside piddling in his garage, and spending time with family. He was friendly and giving, always helping someone. It was said if it was broke he could fix it.
