Travis graduated from the University of Alabama in 1960 with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering and went to work with Republic Steel in Gadsden Al. After working there for three years, he decided to start preaching full-time. He preached the Gospel for over fifty-three years and brought many souls to Christ. He has preached in Decatur, AL, Talladega, AL, LaGrange, GA, Childersburg, AL, Shelbyville, TN, Saks AL, Jacksonville, AL, Snead, AL and Gordo, AL. He was the director of Skyline Christian Youth Camp for over forty years. He loved working with young people and had an influence on so many lives. He is now with the Lord, at rest from his labors.
Visitation will be begin on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden, AL, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Dale Harris and Bro Kevin Smith will conduct services with interment to follow in Crestwood Cemetery.
