Phyllis Lawing Ross, age 92, formerly of Charlotte, passed away on January 4, 2021.
She was born in Gaston County on October 17, 1928, daughter of the late Roscoe and Mabel Lawing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Oren Reid Ross; her son, Stephen David Ross; her sister, Margaret Hackett; her brothers, Elvin Lawing, Douglas Lawing and Bobbie Belk.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Donna Ford (Vernon); her son, Tommy Ross (Lori); her grandchildren, Stephanie Weatherly (Doug), Courtney Caveny (Drew), Taylor Ross and Abbey Ross; her great-grandchildren, Jackson Weatherly, Annie Weatherly and Hudson Caveny; her sister, Nancy Henderson; nephews, Mickey Hackett, Tom Hackett, Michael Henderson and David Henderson.
A private graveside service will be held in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Ross family.
