Archie C. Smith, 81, of Tiffin, passed away at 7:39 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Mercy Center in Toledo.
Archie was born in Honeybee, KY, on April 29, 1939, to the late Lummer and Lola (Hicks) Smith. He married Arlene (Atwell) Smith in Parkers Lake, KY on July 1, 1996.
Survivors include his wife that he has been together with for 39 years, Arlene Smith of Tiffin, six children, Wanda Pelfree of Willard, Brenda Grover of Tiffin, Tina Handshoe of Tiffin, John Smith Sr., of Marion, Tanya Smith of Willard, Candis Atwell of Tiffin, fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, six brothers, Merle Smith, Andrew "Jack" Smith, Jerry Smith, Clyde Mitchell Smith, Tom Smith, Odell Smith, three sisters, Rose "Sue" Griffis, Phyllis Ridner and Janie Smith-Perry.
Archie retired from Webster Manufacturing after 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, any type of home improvement project and spending time with his family.
Archie was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren and a sister, Pearly Virginia Smith.
Funeral services for Archie will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, from 3-5 p.m., at the funeral home where masks and social distancing will be required. Burial will follow the services on Thursday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o Engle-Shook Funeral Home, 135 North Washington Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883.
