Sandra Dent Swain peacefully passed away on January 2, 2021 in Oxford, Georgia.
Sandra was born in Wilkes, Georgia on October 25, 1940 to Edwin Erwin Dent and Sara Odessa Corbin. She was a dedicated legal secretary for 39 years and retired from King and Spalding.
Family is life's greatest blessings and her pride and joy was her family. Sandra enjoyed her grandkids and great-grands. She loved singing old folk, bluegrass and country songs with her family.
Because someone we love is in Heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our homes. Sandra was the seventh born of ten total children and she was the last to transition. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Sara Dent; husband, Robert J. Swain and siblings, Barbara Dent Adams, May Dent Milligan, Betty Dent Thrift, Derrell Dent, Polly Dent, Daphne Dent Debeaugrine, Annette Dent Darby, Ronnie Dent and Shelton Dent.
Sandra's life will forever be remembered and cherished by her children, Suzanne (Bryan) Bowman and Jeffrey (Cathy) Swain; grandchildren, Bonnie Bowman and Derrek (Laura) Bowman; great-grandchildren, Alexa Faith Griffin, Vivian McKay Bowman, Rylan Daniel Tribby and Wesley Archer Bowman; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and family friends.
The Celebration of Life for Sandra Dent Swain will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 with Visitation from 1:00PM-2:00PM. The Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
