Richard Wayne Bowman, 91, of Edinburg, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock. A private graveside service will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg.

Mr. Bowman was born March 6, 1929 in Mount Jackson, Virginia, son of the late Roy Otis Bowman and Margaret Foltz Bowman. He was a lineman for Shenandoah Valley Electric and coached little league and umpired in the Edinburg area. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Edinburg and married to the late Lois Marie Kagey Bowman.

He is survived by four children, Sharon Privia of Round Hill, Vicky Bowman of Edinburg, Steve Bowman and Sabrina of Edinburg and Richard Alan Bowman and Sue of Hedgesville, WV; sister Betty Phillips of Mt. Jackson eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 310, Edinburg, VA 22824 or Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 11, Edinburg, VA 22824.

The family would like to thank Skyline Terrace Nursing Home for the care shown to our father the last several years.
