Jimmie Dwight Harper, Sr, 87, of Vienna WV, passed away Monday, January 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg to John Horton Harper and Freda Veronica (Nuhfer) Harper.

Jimmie started his business, Jimmie Harper Construction 54 years ago and is still in business today. This, along with his kids, grandkids, and employees has always been one of his greatest sources of pride and accomplishments.

Jimmie is survived by his four kids, Brenda (Dean) Dishong, Jimmie D. Harper Jr (Kelly), Sandra (Dave) Charnas and Aimee (Kevin) Lott. He was Grandpa to Chelsea Rebholz, Alex and Thomas Charnas, and Kaden and Evana Harper. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Harper, of south side Parkersburg, and his good friend, Martha Arthur.

Besides his immediate family, he also wanted to show special appreciation to the guys and gals that worked for him, put up with him, loved him, and laughed with him. Although he was gruff on the outside, he loved and appreciated them on the inside.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Friday, January 8, 2020 until services at 11:00 am at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.
