Obituary for Barbara Jane Marks
Barbara Jane Marks, 91, of Orange, passed away on January 3, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on October 10, 1929, she was the daughter of Henry Howard Wilson and Theda (Heslap) Wilson. Barbara enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, listening to country music, and reading her Bible. She adored her family and loved spending as much time with them as possible- often making them her Fudge & Divinity. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Joseph Louis Maddox; second husband, Jerry Marks; daughter, Zena Zimmerman; sons-in-law, Jerry Howeth & David Lingo; brother, Billy Howard Wilson; and sister, Bonnie Wilson Turner.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Wood Lingo of Orange, Brenda Cagle and husband Lynn of Jasper, Tennessee, Bobbie Howeth of Orange, Debra Smith of Orange, Henry Maddox of Orange, Sherry Smecca and husband Joseph of League City, and Joe Maddox and wife Nina of Orange; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Howeth, Ryan Denman, Myles Smecca, Jay Maddox, Hunter Wolfford, Rhys Howeth, Dalton Stringfellow, Devon Neil and Reggie Silas. Honorary pallbearers are Will Hunt and Deagan Vaughn.
