David Lawrence Duvall, 72, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at his home.

No services are planned at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mr. Duvall was born April 1, 1948, in Mattoon, to Gerald and Hazel June (Kragle) Duvall. He married Ellen (Burris) Hefley in 2004, and she survives.

He served his country in the U.S. Marines and went on to work as a truck driver.

Mr. Duvall enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors, and had a special bond with his support dog, WiFi.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Angie (Chad) Callahan of Vandalia, Michelle (Marvin) Salee of Sumner and Anthony Duvall of Martinsville; seven grandchildren, Jesse and Jessica Maxey, Kyle and Marvin Lee Salee, Riley, Braxton and Quintin Duvall; great-grandchild, Devon Maxey; and seven siblings, Terry Duvall, Myrna (Steve) Keeny, Gary Duvall, Kay Ann Herwood of Casey, Dan Duvall of Greenup, Kathy (Gene) Galloway of Oblong and Robert Duvall of Toledo.

Mr. Duvall was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Vickie Sandiford.

Memorials may be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
