Betty Jo (Evans) Lane, 89, died January 2, 2021 in Stillwater, OK. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK with her interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In addition, her service will be also livestreamed from the Southside Baptist Church Facebook page. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of her arrangements.
She was born on February 1, 1931 to Homer Floyd Evans and Mamie Elizabeth Evans in Shawnee, OK.
She graduated high school from Earlsboro High School and resided in Stillwater, OK.
In 1950, she was united in marriage to Elwood H. Lane in Shawnee, OK.
Betty loved children and cared for them in her Home Daycare. She was also a homemaker.
She loved the Lord and attended Southside Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included camping, gardening, and bird watching.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and 4 brothers.
Betty is survived by her 3 children, sons Gary Lane and Kevin Lane, and daughter Judy Talley; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
