Troy Rickey Honea, beloved husband, Daddy, Papaw, and friend passed away on January 3, 2021.

He is preceded in death by Frances Treece Honea (mother), Robert Honea Sr. (Father), Robert Honea Jr. (Brother), Essie Lee Jones (mother-in-law), and Junior Jones (father-in-law).

He is survived by his wife, Diane Honea, daughter Amanda “Amy” Conville (Keith), son Jerad Honea (Tasha), step-son Mark Chambers (Jenny), grandchildren; Olivia Conville, Lee Honea, Harper Honea, Jessica Aho (Andy), Jamilyn Dunlap, great-grandchildren; Emma Aho, Riley Aho, sister Glenda Moody (Billy), several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Rick pastored several churches in the community and loved sharing God with others. He retired from the City of Madison in 2016 and currently worked at New Hope Funeral Home. After he retired he spent the majority of his time with his best friend and love, Diane, and his family. He loved running “Papaw’s Daycare,” as he affectionately called it, that gave his grandchildren priceless memories to treasure for a lifetime. Rick was a friend to everyone. His smile and laughter would light up a room. He will forever be loved and missed.

Graveside service will be held at Walker Cemetery, Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Bro. Harold Kelly and Rev. Doug Browner officiating.
