Shelby J. (Davis) Haney, age 80, resident of Tiro, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital. Born August 1, 1940 in Prestonsburg, KY to Milton and Rose (Shepherd) Davis she had been a Shelby resident for many years before moving to Tiro in the 1980's. She had been employed as a nurses aid with Crestwood Care Center, General Motors, Ohio Steel Tube and Quanex. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and lived her life by the Bible verse Isaiah 40:31.

Shelby enjoyed picnics at Lake Erie, taking drives in the country as well as Mohican State Park, shopping and going out to eat. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Vickie Mitchell of Sandusky; three sons, Terry Haney and fiancée Christina Kuhn of Shelby, Gerald (Kim) Haney of Tiro, Keith Stephens and Cindy Hecker of Attica; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister Pauline (Linval) Brown of Leesburg, FL.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Haney; two sons Dan Haney and Carl Stephens, Jr. and three brothers Andrew, Bill and Jack Davis.

Private family viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday January 8, 2021 with graveside services following at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard on Rout 99. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
