Steven Frank Arnold, 68, of International Falls, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Essentia-Health St. Mary’s in Duluth, Minnesota.
Steven was born on November 15, 1946 in International Falls and attended Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated Vietnam combat veteran. After his service, he worked in the oil fields in North Dakota. In 1982 he moved to Alaska and lived for 33 years where he worked as a truck driver. He returned to International Falls in the summer of 2015.
He loved hunting and fishing and spending time in the Alaskan wilderness. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Arnold and brother, Ivan Arnold.
Steven is survived by his son, Shawn Williams of Bemidji, Minnesota; mother, Gladys Arnold of International Falls; brother, Marvin (Eileen) Arnold of International Falls; sisters, Wanda (Al) Linder of Ray, Minnesota, Betty (Jim) Staples of International Falls and Lou Ann (Bill) Caul of Fort Frances, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Larsen Mortuary in International Falls with military rights and flag presentation.
