Barry Klair Henderson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Arizona on July 22, 2017. He was 74 years old.

Barry was born March 12, 1943 in Blanding, Utah to David Henry Henderson and Aurelia Carroll.

Barry had 3 older sisters, Carol, Evon, and Janet and 1 younger brother, Paul.

Barry moved to Snowflake, Arizona when he was 3 years old and lived there until he moved to Mesa, Arizona when he was 12. He attended South Mountain High School where he played football, ran track and was on the wrestling team. He also met the love of his life, Carol Ann Copeland. They were married in February 1963 and recently celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Barry moved back to Snowflake in 1965 and worked at the paper mill for 33 years, first on the paper machine and then as a pipefitter. He retired in 1998 due to poor health and spent his remaining years taking care of his family. He loved to haul wood, camp, fish, read, and watch his favorite sports teams. He always had a big garden which he tended and enjoyed all the fresh vegetables he raised. He was an active member of the LDS Church–Centennial 6th Ward and held many callings in the Church. His favorite calling was as a home teacher.

Barry is survived by his wife, Carol of Taylor, Arizona; 4 children: David Henderson of Tucson, Arizona, Brian Henderson (Helen) of Taylor, Arizona, Donna McNeil (Scott) of Taylor, Arizona and Lee Henderson of Peoria; 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Evon Rogers of Mesa, Arizona and brother, Paul Ward of Snowflake, Arizona. Barry was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

A viewing will be held Sunday evening, July 30, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 84 E. 19 S., in Snowflake, Arizona.
