OBITUARY: Philip T Brown, September 9, 1920 ~ January 3, 2021 - reprinted from the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel website

Philip T. Brown, age 100, of Hastings, Minnesota was born September 9, 1920 and passed away on January 3, 2021.

Born to Theodore and Margaret Brown of Vermillion, MN. Phil was an expert auto mechanic who was employed by several auto dealerships in the Hastings area until opening his own head rebuilding and auto repair business. After retirement he became an avid model engine builder and miniature machinery enthusiast. He enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and a good laugh in his spare time. He is well known for his love of his pet dogs who kept him company for many years.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Margaret (Marvin) Stokke, Gertrude (Earl) Pechacek and Claudia (Albert) Kavitz and his son Thomas Jacob.

He is survived by his son Theodore (Sue) of Hastings. Grandchildren, Sonja (Gerald) Hanggi of Lino Lakes, MN, Christopher (Melissa) Brown of Hastings, and Kerry (Randy) Pottinger of Hastings, MN. Also, nephews James (Marlene) Cysiewski of Vermillion, MN, Donald (Vernelle) Cysiewski of Hastings and niece Carol Bendix of Hudson, WI. He is also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be private for the immediate family at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel Funeral Home in Hastings, MN. Cremation burial will be private in Vermillion, MN at a later date.
