Born January 6, 1943 to William Dale Robertson and Dorathalee Allen, she was later adopted by her grandmother, Josie Dell Connor and John Leifeste.
In 1960, she met a young man who on their first date proudly proclaimed that he was going to marry her. She went home and told her momma that he was crazy. However, six months later they were engaged and six months after their engagement they were married. Their marriage produced three children, Michael Anderson and wife, Diana of Salamanca, NY, Terry Anderson and wife, Keli of Hillister, Carroll Hale and husband, Keith of Jasper.
Melody was preceded in death by her momma, Josie Dell Conner, her father, John Leifeste, half brother, Mack Fendley, half brother, Gene Fendley, mother, Dorothalee Allen, brother-in-law, Lonnie Anderson, sister-in-law, Linda Watley and granddaughter, Evelyn Louise Hale.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Harry Anderson; all three of her children, Michael Anderson, Terry Anderson and Carroll Hale; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Melody will be interred at the Old Shiloh/Kirkland Cemetery in Woodville. The family requests no flowers at this time but would ask in lieu of flowers that friends and family send cards of love and support to her husband, Harry Anderson.
