Thomas (Tom) Bailey Bradford, age 81, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:04 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home in Casey, IL. He was born April 20, 1939 in Cumberland County, IL, the son of Joseph (Joe) Bradford and Pauline Phillips Bradford.
Survivors include his sons, Ted Bradford of Casey, IL and Keith Bradford of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Joseph Bradford of Italy and Rachel Bradford of Marshall, IL; sister, Carol Reddick of Casey, IL and his former wife and caretaker for the past fifteen months, Estella (Blunk) Bradford of Casey, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Phyllis Rich.
Tom attended Casey High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1958 – 1961. He retired from AMAX Coal Company, Staunton, IN in 1999. He had previously worked for Stran Steel in Terre Haute, IN; J I Case in Terre Haute, IN; Pottery Factory and Con Rail. Tom was a member of ARA Rifle Association, Edgar County Sportsman Club, St. Louis Bench Rest Rifle Club and a lifetime member of NRA. He was an avid hunter, shooter and pool player.
At his request cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL at a later date.
