She married her husband of 65 years, Gene Huff in Denton, Texas on May 28, 1955, after a whirlwind three-month courtship. Together hand in hand and with God as their focal point they built a life for themselves and their 3 children. Gwen was a true servant of the Lord; she and Gene volunteered many hours and years of their life to the under privileged children in the world by providing free dental care to them. She traveled all over the world to help others and to bring the light of Jesus to others. Gwen was fiercely protective of and completely loyal to all those she loved, whether family or friends. She would go out of her way to help anyone that needed her. She prayed continually for those she loved and cared for. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Huff of Whitesboro; daughter, Kathy Park and husband, Brad of Whitesboro; son, Bo Huff and significant other, Renee Leslie of Houston; grandchildren; Ashley Gibson and husband, Shane; Aaron Park and wife, Julie; Micah Kniss and husband, Josh; Jordan Huff and wife; Britney; six great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Chris Huff of Oklahoma; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Celes Anthony, son, Perry Huff.
The family would like to thank Dr. Benson and staff for their loving, compassionate care for our family for the last 40 years. God bless him and his staff, praying for God to give them strength and protection during these days. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to Arf House at 3377 Spalding Rd., Sherman, TX 75092.
A private family graveside service honoring Gwen will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Mike Flanagan. The family will schedule a memorial service for her at a later date.
