TENNILLE - Mrs. Nena Barbara Boyd died Wednesday in a Washington County nursing home. Services were held at 2 p.m. today in Tennille Baptist Church. Burial was in Washington County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Milton Dwelle and the Rev. Marvin Goodman officiated. Mrs. Boyd, a native of Sumter County, lived in Washington County most of her life. She was a former bookkeeper with Boyd Hardware Co. and was a teacher. She was a member of Tennille Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Linton A. Tanner. Survivors include her husband, J. Garnet Boyd of Tennille; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Dye of Swainsboro; a sister, Mrs. Addie Lou Mosley of Thomson; a grandson, Jimmy Dye of Swainsboro; and two great-grandchildren, Jed Dye and Stacie Dye of Swainsboro. May Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
