Laddie Vere Mumper passed away at age 75 peacefully on 21 December 2020 with his wife at his side.

Laddie served our country in the Air Force for 22 years as an Airman and 24 years as a civil servant with a dedication that is rarely seen. During his tenure in the Air Force, he served as a Missile Combat Crewman (SAC), Civil Engineer (Prime Beef), and an Environmental Engineer (Civilian).

He was graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree which allowed him to become an officer later in his career. Laddie enjoyed carpentry, gunsmithing, hunting, but most importantly watching movies and traveling with his beloved wife, Mary Eva, to whom he was married on 26 May 1968, at Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. His Christian faith was the motivation for how he lived his life and will carry him home to where he is now needed most. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving sister, Arlene Jeanette; and his sons, John Mark, Christopher Scott, Brian Paul, and Aaron Laddie. His extended family includes three daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Mr. Mumper will be interred in the Alabama National Cemetery.

Arrangements: Laughlin Service Funeral Home & Crematory.
