Henry Lewis Cox, age 80, of Hazel Green, AL, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Limestone County, AL on March 13, 1940 to the late Ernest and Leona Foster Cox. Lewis was a retired industrial sewing machine mechanic and a member of Kelly's Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children: Danny Cox, Patricia Cox and Ronald Cox; brothers: Cecil Cox, James 'Junior' Cox, Jerry Cox and Billy Gene Cox; and daughter-in-law: Mitzi Cunningham Cox.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife of 63 years, daughter, three sons, three sisters, three brothers, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Smith and Bro. Michael Cothren officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church.
