Mrs. Helen M. Graves, 40 years old, died at 4:00 o'clock Saturday morning at her home on Sullivan route three, just north of Dugger. She had been seriously ill for only three weeks.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Newkirk Funeral home at Dugger with Rev. Howard Ballard officiating. Interment will be made at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Montpelier.
Mrs. Graves had resided in the Dugger community for about twelve years. She was born in Hartford City on Feb. 2, 1921, the daughter of John and Cathryn Hogan Ballenger.
She is survived by the husband, John E. Graves; the father, John Ballenger of Indianapolis; five brothers, Gordon Ballenger of Indianapolis, Richard Ballenger of Hartford City, and Samuel, Donald and Michael Ballenger, all of Roll, and two sisters, Miss Maxine Ballenger of Marion and Miss Paula Ballenger of Roll.
