John David Owen passed away on December 31, 2020. Born on September 2, 1959 in Halifax County, John was the son of Wilford Grayson Owen & Helen Shelton Owen. He was a retired plant superintendent of Southern Processors, Inc. He was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where he helped lead worship services with his voice and guitar. He started playing the guitar at age six.
On September 28, 1996, he married Rhonda Hylton Owen, who survives. Survivors also include his sons, Patrick Shane Owen and Joshua Reagan Owen; brothers, Frank Owen, Jerry (Vickie) Owen, James Owen and Paul Owen; sister, Judy Marie Owen; sister-in-law, Elinor Owen. His brother, Preston Owen, also predeceased John.
Interment will be at the Hylton Family Cemetery.
