Robert Adelbert Hardy age 91 lifelong resident of Saranac passed away December 30, 2020. Bob was born April 7, 1929 in Keene Township the son of Adelbert J. and Louise (Wingeier) Hardy.

He married Rose Ann Allen November 28, 1953 she preceded him in death December 14, 2013. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. He farmed all his life on the Hardy family farm with his brother George and later his sons. Bob owned the Continental Bar in Greenville and later Hardy's Bar in Saranac at the current location of Joe's Bar. He was a charter member of the Saranac Lions Club, Life member of the Boston Historical Society, Saranac American Legion and the Ionia Moose Lodge. Member of Saranac Community Church and Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his sons Robert (Judy) Hardy Jr. of Saranac, David (Barb) Hardy of Saranac and Tom (Tami) Hardy of Saranac. Daughters in law Peggy Patrick and Renae Hardy. Grandchildren; Eric (Becky) Patrick, Jason (Kate) Hardy, Tara (Travis) Decker, Aaron (Leah) Hardy, Andrea Hardy, Sarah (Paul) Harrell, Robby Hardy III, Cliff Hardy, Travis Hardy and Steven Hardy. 14 great grandchildren. Special nephew Jim (Peg) Hardy of Saranac and special niece Barbara (John) Lonas of Tennessee. Special friend Al Visser. Many nieces, nephews and cousins and numerous special friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose Ann, Sons; Michael Patrick and Delbert Hardy, Brother George Hardy, Sister Lucille Riggle and grandson Jeffery Hardy.

Visitation will be on Tuesday January 5th and Wednesday January 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Shiloh Community Church in Orleans. Private family services will be held Thursday. Funeral Services will be livestreamed on Lake Funeral Home's Facebook page Thursday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Becky Poor and Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment in Saranac Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Saranac American Legion, Saranac Fire Department, Ionia Moose Lodge or Saranac Community Church. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
