He was born in Havana, Cuba, and lived in Cojimar, Cuba. In 1961 he left Cuba and came to the United States and lived in New Jersey prior to moving to Hollywood, Florida, and in 2014 moving to Orlando. He had only recently moved to Tallahassee three weeks ago. Roberto’s banking career began at the Manhattan office of the Chase Manhattan Bank where he was a Supervisor. He retired from the Hamilton Bank in Miami. He was an avid movie buff and a big animal lover.
Survivors include his wife of 59 yrs. Ofelia Garcia-Solis of Tallahassee; two daughters Sonia Garcia-Solis of Tallahassee and Ana Irving of Chuluota, FL, plus three grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Susie Mozolic of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
