Brian Lee Brown,69, passed away December 20, 2020 at Texas Health Harris Southwest Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home. A graveside service at Burleson Memorial Cemetery will follow at 2:00pm.
Brian was born February 10, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald R. Brown and Shirley Johnson Brown. He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School in 1969. After high school, he was called on a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Indiana-Michigan Mission. After returning home from his Mission, he attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.
Brian joined the Utah Air National Guard in 1972 and served for 6.5 years. He was trained as an air traffic controller in the Guard. He opted for a temporary tour of duty at Tyndall AFB, Florida, where he met his wife, Susan, in 1974. Brian married Susan Elaine George in 1975 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, UT. They were happily married for 45 years.
He spent his career doing what he loved, selling high line automobiles in Florida and Texas.
Brian loved the Lord, he loved Texas, football, traveling and Muscle Cars. He was outgoing, and never met a stranger. When he met someone new, he found a common ground with that person and became fast friends. He was one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. He was always looking for an opportunity to serve his fellow man and the Lord. He looked for the good in everyone, and was always one of the first to welcome a new member or visitor to the ward meetings. His great attitude and cheery personality made it easy to meet new friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Brown; brothers, Jay Conway Brown, Robert Clinton Brown and Bruce Timothy Brown; and sister, Christine Annette Brown.
Brian is survived by his wife, Susan George Brown; brother, Donald Craig Brown and wife, Joyce Joyce; sisters, Judith Lynne Nicholes and husband, Michael, Sydney Suzanne Abraham and husband, Michael, and Debra Kay Thornton and husband, Jim; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.
