Robert Lee Howze

Major General Robert Lee Howze was a Second Lieutenant of Company K, 6th US Calvary. On January 1,1891, during the Indian Campaigns of White River, South Dakota he earned the Congressional Medal of Honor, for bravery in action. Howze graduated for West Point in 1888 and saw service in the Philippine revolt, the Mexican raids and World War I. æHe was promoted to Major General on August 2, 1918. æHis last assignment was to preside over the Army Court-Marshall of Col. Billy Mitchell.
