Sid was born and raised in Crystal River, FL by his parents, Rube and Phrynette Kennedy. He was the former owner of Builders Supply in his early years and later worked for Proline Boats. He served 15 years as a Councilman for the City of Crystal River. He belonged to the Lions Club and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crystal River where he was an Usher. He provided countless hours helping and volunteering around the town of Crystal River.
Sid was the husband of the late Sandy Kennedy. He is survived by his son Kevin Kennedy, his daughter Jodee Hannon and husband Kevin, grandchildren; Megan Corbin, Jordan Kennedy, Logan Kennedy, Halee Hannon and Rylee Hannon, great grandchildren; Karrleigh, Paisleigh, Kade, Kale and Gavin. He is also survived by his nephew Eric, first cousins, Laverne, Avis and Rhonda, sister in law Marcy and her family Peter, Kelly and Amy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday March 30th from the First Baptist Church of Crystal River. The family will receive friends in visitation at the Church from 12 PM until service time. Burial will follow in the Crystal River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Hospice.
