Janet is survived by her children: Edward (Lisa) Amidon of Marietta, NY; Thomas (Michele) Amidon of Manlius, NY; Theresa (David) Evans of LaFayette, NY; Daniel Amidon of Huber Heights, Ohio; Dennis Amidon of Syracuse, N.Y; Christine Bush of Camillus NY ; Donald Bush of Syracuse, NY;(Stepsons Albert Dean Bush of Camillus, NY & Matthew A. Bush of LaFayette) as well as 21 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Janet surviving siblings include Harold (Marie); Robert (Karen); Arthur (Paula) & (sister-in-law) Diane Harty as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.

Janet attended Tully High School, graduating with the Class of 1958. Janet was President & Treasurer of "Aljan Auto Service Inc" a service station, garage & tow truck business in Syracuse, NY. Janet held the lease on Valley Mobil (Syracuse) that was recognize at the Mobil 1984 convention in Las Vegas as the 11th largest volume dealer in the USA. Janet was a huge contributor when all three of our Shell Stations were recognized by Shell Oil in nationwide appearance contest. Janet was able to take many complementary (free) trips including Hawaii, Las Vegas, Spain, Puerto Rico, Bahamas and Caribbean cruises for excellence in the service station industry.

Janet had many acquaintances from bowling in LaFayette and the two bowling establishments in the "Valley". Janet was able to enjoy her camp at "Syratisco" with family and many friends. Janet's normal Sunday's duties included driving our 18 ft "Colbalt" boat, sometimes towing up to 6 water-skiers.

Every Saturday night in the summer Janet & Al, with 2 invited guests would be at steel walled "Oswego Speedway" watching the high power super modifies. After many years as spectator, Janet soon enjoyed watching our red & white number 6 Super compete weekly. Janet's job was to pick up the winnings after the show. On the winged Super circuit, Janet would be in the pits with her prepared food for our crew and always was willing to share with competitors. For many years Janet would pack up for our trip with Jane & Duane Hunsinger of Latta, South Carolina for the February Daytona Five Hundred Week . Somehow, Janet got season tickets in the Winston Tower on the start finish line.

After husband's difficult open heart surgery, Janet's next venture was spending time in NY State Park service in a diesel pusher exercising back into health, using "Verona State Park" as our home park. Janet and Al shared many beautiful sunsets together.

Never to stay idle for long, the old Canastota Savings & Loan building was leased, where Janet alone converted it into the most realistic "Doll Museum" for some of her 5,000 dolls. Janet had a unique ability displaying her doll collection. The question was asked frequently, what university helped you and Janet's would always answer, well "Al carried everything in". Janet enjoyed talking about dolls at luncheons and tour groups.

The next 5 year exercise was selling kites, flags and wind spinners at road side locations and other events in the central New York area. Time changed things and an online store was established so Al could become Janet's caretaker as health issues became more prominent. Janet's 74th surprise birthday celebration was held at the LaFayette Log Cabin with 60 plus family and friends in attendance. That tradition went on for four more years.

Janet will be missed, but not forgotten by all that met her. It was never about Janet, but always about you. Janet's new home is Tully Cemetery, please stop and visit Janet and re-share your good times. God Bless Janet Bush & Squad 3.
