James J. Windle, age 53, a Chicago police officer since 1947, who lived at 1335 N. Massasoit ave. died in his home on May 1, 1970. He had been assigned to Traffic Court for the last two years and to the Maxwell are traffic unit before that. He was the beloved husband of Helen Coughlin Windle, devoted father of Michael James Windle; loving son of the late Patrick J., CPD and Elizabeth Cummane Windle; dear brother of John P. (Jean) Windle and Mary (Andy) McGann. Funeral mass at St. Angela Church. Interment Queen of Heaven.
Member of I.P.A.; C.P.A; St. Jude Police League; Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 7, Chicago, and Police Post No. 207, American Legion.
