Debra Anderson, 68, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away Sunday evening, December 27, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Due to the current pandemic, a private funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, Rev. Chris Walstad will officiate, and interment will take place at Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston. Friends are invited to watch the service live at www.eversoncoughlin.com, a public celebration of Deb's life will be held at a later date.

Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Debra Kay Anderson (Smith) entered the Kingdom of Heaven on December 27, 2020, at the age of 68.

Debra (Debbi) was born in Powers Lake ND on September 5th, 1952 to Wilbert (Bud) and Muriel Smith. She attended Burke Central High School and upon graduation, she moved to Minot ND to attend Minot State University. It was in Minot where she met the love of her life Carl (Jeff) Anderson, who was stationed there while serving in the United States Air Force. After they married in March of 1971 they welcomed their son Adam into the world and moved to Winthrop MA where they resided for 7 years. In July of 1978, they returned to Williston ND, their forever home, and completed their family with the birth of their daughter Jessica in September 1979.

Debbi worked for Kohler Communications, Cellular One and the future iterations of that cellular service. She became known for her expertise in that field and had many loyal customers. Her faith was very important to her and she was an active and longtime member of the Williston Assembly of God church family. She held a special place in her heart for all children and served many years in the nursery and preschool classes at the church impacting many lives. Her hobbies included crafting, collecting frogs and crosses, and most of all shopping. She was a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching local high school sports.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Carl, children Adam (Nicole) Anderson and Jessica (Kevin) Graven, grandchildren Lacey Williams, Corbin Graven, Kinsley Anderson, Amara Graven and Hayden Anderson. She will also be dearly missed by her mother, Muriel Smith, and four sisters, Vonda (Howard) Wilcox, Vickie Piotrowski, Ginger (Scott) Supplee and Donelda (Gary) Mitzel as well as numerous other friends and family members.

She was predeceased by her father Wilbert (Bud) Smith.
