Jason Scott Baker
December 30, 2020

Jason Scott Baker left this earth on December 30, 2020.
To the many friends and those who loved him, Jason Baker was known as a genuine man who was willing to help anyone in need. He was loved by all who knew him.
Even though Jason dealt with his share of adversity and health issues throughout his entire childhood and adult life, he was never one to feel sorry for himself. Rather, he never hesitated to offer a lending hand to others even with his own struggles. No matter his situation, his struggles, or the adversity he faced, Jason was always there for anyone who needed a hand.
What was important to Jason was the love of his family, his friends, those he loved, and his country. And of course, his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jason will always be remembered by those who loved and knew him as a man of integrity. He was a true friend to those who knew him and enriched their lives. Those who knew him were better people for knowing Jason Baker.
Jason was born and raised in Porterville. He worked with area youth for many years, coaching in Porterville Flag Football, Strathmore Youth Baseball and Porterville Little League Baseball. He also served as president of Strathmore Youth Baseball.
Jason is survived by his Mother: Brenda Evans; children: Brady Baker and Stephanie Baker (Keenen Howard); Grandson: Zaiden Howard; Siblings: Lisa Parsons McGee (Sean), Dawn McMaster (Michael), Susan Treis (Steve), Melisa Jones Conner.
7 Nephews: Tyler Parsons, Nicholas Parsons, Chad Parsons, Kyle McMaster, Kory McMaster, Braydon Treis, Brandon Jones
5 Nieces: Kathryn McMaster, Calyn Strobel, Alyson Treis, Denecia Strowmatt, Ashlee Conner
6 Great Nieces: Abby, Emma, and Chloe Parsons; Madilynn and McKinnley Strobel; Annalee Strowmatt
2 Great Nephews: Tucker Strobel and Everett Strowmatt
He was preceded in death by his beloved father Johnny "Butch" Baker
A celebration of Jason's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Jason's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Porterville Animal Shelter.
