Early on Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 just a few days short of Christmas, EL ELYON, THE MOST HIGH GOD, said to His Holy Angels, “Bring me the soul of my servant, Derrick R. George. It’s time for him to be reunited with me and his love ones on this side of eternity”. As quickly as the words were spoken, the task was done, and our loved one departed this life.

Enjoyments - Rock liked watching his favorite television shows, fishing, hunting with his dad, traveling, swimming, but most of all his love and passion was basketball. The Lord blessed him with a special gift to communicate with anyone. Basketball and mentoring were his ministry.
Survivors - Two daughters: Keavia George Foster (Greg) of Fall River, MA and Lakeisha Dowdell of Daytona Beach, FL; son Derrick Tyrone George (Carmen); grandchildren: Kasen, Carter, Caidyn, Amari, Kaitlin, Maura, Diamond Brianna, Derrick 3rd, Derrick 4th, Jeremias, Breon, Keon, Patrick and LaCoya; two sisters: Gloria Thompson of Baltimore, MD and Bobbie J. George of Ormond Beach, FL; brother Herron Jones (Frankie) of Orlando, FL; two aunts: Eugenia Byrd and Josephine Dillard of Dania Beach, FL; two uncles; Richard Prince (Betty) Fort Pierce, FL and Jonathan Prince of Daytona Beach, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
