Anthony Clyde Jenkins, 70 of Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Clearfield, Kentucky on April 4, 1950 to the late Medford and Rosa Mynhier Jenkins.

Anthony was a well known Southern Gospel Singer and pianist in the area having performed at many churches, revivals, and homecomings. In recent years he traveled with his group "On A Journey". He also served on the staff of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Homes as the pianist and soloist for many funerals throughout the years.

He was a retired auto body repairman and at one time was a partner in Jenkins Garage on Dry Creek with his brother Richard and was a former employee of Jerry's Body Shop, Clyde's Frame and Alignment and Roger's Body Shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling to the Smokies and University of Kentucky basketball. He attended the East End Church of God where he served as the pianist. Anthony enjoyed time with his family especially all his nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; Richard "Dick" Jenkins, Ralph Jenkins, Charles Jenkins and Martin Jenkins. His sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Wilbert Crager and brother-in-law, Jack Barber.

Survivors include two sisters; Marion Barber, Phyllis Sluss and her husband Clyde, two brothers; Mike Jenkins and his wife Sandy and Fred Jenkins and Nancy Lewis all of Morehead. A special nephew who he help raise, Scott Jenkins and his wife Donna of Fleming County and a very special 10 year old friend Bentley Reynolds. Also, several other relatives and friends.

Private family funeral services conducted January 3, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Larry Hamm and Jeremy McCleese officiating.
