He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Butler Thompson; one daughter, Akeitha Thompson (Brad) Brown; one son, Shawn Thompson; three grandchildren; one sister, Aisha (Hafeez) Uqdah; one brother, Amos (Zelma) Thompson, Jr.; and a host of relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Elizabeth Gambrell Bobo and Amos Thompson, Sr. and one sister, Nettie Patterson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
