GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - Richard J. Covert, 79, of 28 Eagle St., died yesterday at his home following a lengthy illness. Born in Amsterdam, he was a postal clerk for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the postal workers union and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Parents - Lawrence J. Covert and Jennie McMourn Covert.
Daughter - Norma Prentice of Scotia.
Brother - Lawrence Covert of Clearwater, Fla.
