Mr. Jody was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was a well known face around town, especially at the senior citizen center. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Alamo. Mr. Byrd was also a member of the Alamo Fire Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Agnus Byrd Hollenback, Richard Byrd, Wayne Byrd, Mary Florence Byrd Haynes and Bonnie Byrd Kate.
Survivors include his two children, Karon and Kathy Byrd; four grandchildren, Gregg Duckwork, Alison Duckwork Lee, Ty Riley and Drew Riley; and one great grandson.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Byrd will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on January 16, 2021 in the Alamo City Cemetery with Bro. Stephen Sutton, officiating.
