Helen was born January 14, 1941 in Catawba County to the late James Monroe Miller and Nellie Fulbright Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, David, Earl, Foxie, and Eddie Miller.
She is survived by:
Husband of 61 years: Dewey E. Herman of the home
Daughter: Angie Abernathy of Claremont
Son: Jeff Herman (Julie) of Claremont
4 Grandchildren: Matthew Abernathy (Emily), Ashley Abernathy, Tiffany Dieso (Chris), Blake Herman
4 Great-Grandchildren: Finley & Emilia Abernathy, Landon and Sophia Dieso
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Pastor Scott Bollinger officiating. The family respectfully asks that you wear a face covering.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
