William (Bill) Morton passed away at the age of 65 peacefully on December 28, 2020. He was born December 14, 1955.
He was well known throughout Porterville. He was very caring, loving and thoughtful, giving person always out to give a lending hand. He was a great storyteller too. He has had an impact on so many lives with all he has done. He drove truck for many years and then bus and retired as a driver from the state hospital. He was a huge part of the community, he done volunteer work, a lot 46 years, with the Porterville REACT Team. He did so many community events throughout Tulare County. Bill had a passion for fishing and hunting really enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed motorcycles and had a big passion for trains. He was a great family man and dear friend to many. It wont be the same, you will be greatly missed. We love you dearly.
Bill is survived by his wife Suzann Morton of 41 years. He has 5 children Michael Morton, Christopher Morton, Melissa Castillo, and Kira Noel. Also 9 grandchildren. 2 brothers Anthony Robison, Robert "Buddy" Morton. 2 sisters Collette Bratton and Patricia Overturf and many step siblings.
He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Garner, son Nicholas Morton and brother Danny Morton.
Services will be held as follows Monday January 11, 2021 viewing at Myers Chapel from 5pm-7pm. Tuesday January 12, 2021 graveside at Hillcredt Cemetery at 11am. Mask required.
