Delbert Arliss Johnson (formerly of Edgar, NE) the son of Vennel Hubert and Ida (Quist) Johnson was born May 31, 1922 in Clay County, Nebraska. He departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Mary Lanning Health Care in Hastings, Nebraska.

Delbert attended Sandy Valley Country School through the 8th grade as a young boy and graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1939. Delbert had been a long time Clay County farmer and also had been employed at Shuck Drilling of Edgar, NE. Delbert was united in marriage to Helen Snavely Scrivner on February 29, 1956. With his marriage to Helen came seven stepchildren: Paula, Sherry, Carol, Grace, Peggy and Robert Scrivner. Helen passed away on April 29, 1998.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, sister Elaine, brother Dale and daughter Pamela.

Among his survivors are his sons: Mickey Johnson and Billie Johnson; grandchildren: Christopher, Ben, Zack, and Hailey Johnson other relatives and a host of friends.

Private family services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Edgar Cemetery. Pastor David King will be officiating.Delbert A.
