Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5434 HWY 315, Fortson, GA 31808 with Rev. Thaddeus T. Spencer, officiating and Rev. James C. Gant, eulogist according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC., 2919 Hamilton Road Columbus, GA. Ms. Ward was born to the late Mr. Richard L. Ward Sr. and surviving Mrs. Martha Ware Ward. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1981 and was outstanding in basketball while there. Ms. Ward received a Mortician license from Gupton-Jones, in Atlanta, GA and work in several funeral homes in the area. She was preceded in death by her father; Mr. Richard L. Ward Sr. and brother; Mr. Richard L. Ward Jr.. Ms. Ward is survived by her loving mother, Mrs. Martha Ware Ward, brother; Curtis (Claudia) Ward of Fairburn, GA.; sisters, Edith Ward and Kathy Jones of Columbus, GA; sister-in-law, Vanessa Ward of San Antonio, TX; one aunt, Sillerean Ware Johnson of Camp Hill, AL and a host of God children, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
