Mrs. Gray was born in Coatesville on May 30, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Violet M. (Brackin) Althouse.
Janice was known as a very caring and thoughtful person, often helping people by doing small but meaningful gestures of kindness. She worked as a medical transcriptionist and retired from WellSpan. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially by train and going to baseball games. She was also a member of St. Paul's UCC of Dallastown.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Diane P. Anderson and her husband Mark, of Enola, and her sister, Pat Thompson of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her son, Philip Gray.
A graveside service to celebrate Janice's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Rodkey officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association of York or to ARC of York County.
