William F. Schwartz, age 83, of Erie passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
He was born in Erie on November 5, 1937, a son of the late Frank and Frances N. (Seifert) Schwartz.
Bill worked as an accountant for many years. He was an active member of Summit United Methodist Church and Koinonia. Bill was a co-founder of the Refuge Golf Tournament.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in by his wife Kathleen (Sherwood) Schwartz and a son, Jeffrey Schwartz.
He is survived by his children, Sherri Schwartz of Erie, Carrie Kennedy, husband John of Charleston, W. Va., Amy Rowe, husband Tim of Erie and Robert Schwartz of Erie; grandchildren, Luke Welker, Dana DeGeorge, husband Louis, Kyle Kennedy, wife Abby, Matthew Kennedy, Amy Burick, husband Steve, and Jessie Schwartz. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Trace Burick and Ava DeGeorge; and a daughter-in-law, Tracy Schwartz of Erie. He is further survived by his brothers James Schwartz, wife Cass of St. Augustine, Fla. and David Schwartz, wife Mary of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Private services for the family will be held with Rev. Thomas Hoeke officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
