Obituary for Anne Marie Carpenter
Our tremendously loved and wonderful sister, Anne Marie Carpenter, 60, entered Heaven with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Lancaster General Hospital with her loving sister Teressa by her side.
Born at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, PA she was the oldest daughter of the late Glenn Robert Carpenter and Katherine Mary (Seubert) Carpenter of Waldeck, PA.

Anne had a wonderful childhood enjoying playing in the mountains and countryside with her siblings, cousins, and neighborhood friends. So many wonderful and fun memories, such as tobogganing through the very narrows trails of Mountain Trail Road Mountains, camping out at the “Big Rock”, building forts, playing army, ice skating on the pond, hunting (first buck bagged 1973), trapping and getting sprayed by skunks and then kicked off the bus, playing kickball, tag, softball and whiffle ball, swimming at the Richland pool every summer with the Waldeck Gang. Anne enjoyed storytelling and often shared these memories with her nieces, nephews and grands through the years.

Anne attended Schaefferstown Elementary School, Eastern Lebanon Middle School and was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School.
After High School Anne lived in Lancaster and made a career in retail sales as a District Manager for 13 retail stores throughout Pennsylvania, retiring from FYE. Throughout her career, Anne was honored with many various awards for highest sales and most successful District Manager. She was respected, loved and adored by her Team, in which she developed lifelong cherished friendships-Sue Cangelosi, Dora Pannick and Lisa Mallis and with many others through the years.

Family and Friends were Anne’s true treasures. She gave of herself unconditionally and was generous on every occasion and without measure. She was loving, kind and loyal to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anne is predeceased by her brother, Christopher Carpenter, her brother, Stephen Carpenter and nephew, Joshua Gerber.

Anne is survived by Sisters, Birgit (Peachy) Greiling and Tom of Germany, Teressa (Sharky) Picarelli and Vincent of Millersville, PA, Michelle (Pean) Blouse of Lebanon, PA and Michele (Mic) Gardner of Columbia, PA, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Uncle Bob Bachman and Aunt Ceil Bachman were adored by Anne. Anne adopted many grandchildren of her heart, known as “Nanny,” to all of them, she especially enjoyed time with Whitney and Liam, Destiny, Aliyah and Zay.

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Anne Marie will be held at Kingdom Life International Assembly, 223 W. Orange Street, Lancaster on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Parking is available at the Groff Event Center across the street.
