Born on August 16, 1935, he was the son of the late George London and Mary Elizabeth Connolley Walbert. He graduated from Centreville High School, class of 1953. In 1956, he enlisted in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1962. Mr. Walbert was a lifetime farmer and tilled over 3,000 acres in his earlier years. He retired in 2002 as a chicken farmer in Ridgely. Mr. Walbert was a member of the American Legion, Post #29, the Harrington Moose Lodge and when he was younger, he was a member of 4H.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by a son and daughter, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and brothers Philip and Franklin. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard George "Sonny" Walbert.
