Mrs. Elgin L. Durst nee Ella Mae Knopp of Fredericksburg passed away on Sunday, December 27th at the age of 91 years. Ella Mae Knopp was born on February 22, 1929 in Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, Texas to Erwin and Minnie Pieper Knopp.
She married Elgin L. Durst on May 4, 1948 in Fredericksburg, Texas
Mrs. Ella Mae Durst is survived by her husband: Elgin L. Durst of Fredericksburg. Three daughters: Debbie and Harvey Moellering Jr. of Fredericksburg, Felecia and Sam Gonzales of Austin, Elginia and Lonnie Hohmann of Fredericksburg, Daughter in law: Chere, Mrs. Shelton Durst of Llano. Five Grandchildren: J.D. Prestridge, Nicole Sultemeier, Allysa Sultemeier, April Durst and Derek Hohmann. Six great grandchildren, Numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters: Esther and Dale McHalek of Fredericksburg, Hazel and Eugene Merkel of Llano, Sister in law: Ora Ann, Mrs. Clayton Knopp of Luckenbach.
Mrs. Ella Mae Durst is preceded in death by her parents, Son: Shelton Durst, Two grandchildren and one great grandchild, Brother: Clayton Knopp.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at 1 P.M. in the Greenwood Cemetery Gazebo, Fredericksburg, Texas. Pallbearers: April, Bobby, Glenn, Ricky and Ferrl Durst, Derek Hohmann, Michael Hernandez, Paul Lehmberg. Honorary Pallbearers: Bonnie Coffee, Connie Stahl, Donnie Coleman, Jeff McHalek, Valerie Prochnow, Collette Brown, Kathy Geistweidt, Eugenia Cooper, Stephen Merkel and the Class of 1947.
