Angela (Angie) J. Conwell Lytle Nichols passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020. She was born in Buffalo, Indiana on July 21, 1949 to Cleon and Maggie (Heishman) Conwell. She has a brother Terry and wife Jeri Conwell.
Angie is a proud 1967 Rochester Zebra graduate. On November 7, 1969 she married the love of her life Max Eugene Lytle. They have two children together, Misty and husband Rob Cripe and Max “Jake” Lytle.
Together they raised pigs, goats, horses, and chickens on the farm in Richland Center. Angie could be seen on any given day riding her favorite tractor, a 1949 WD Allis Chalmers, baling hay or working the fields. She loved slopping the hogs, milking goats, riding horses, or working in the garden. Sadly, Max perished in a tragic accident on September 25, 1988. God soon blessed Angie with a wonderful man named John Nichols. They were married on March 30, 1991. John and Angie had several adventures together including trips out west to Las Vegas.
Angie’s favorite adventure was her grandkids, Shaily and Sawyer and wife Megan Cripe. She could often be heard saying “I should have had grandkids first!” Angie was extremely proud and delighted with the new light in her life, a great grandson Maxwell Wayne Cripe. Just this fall she was able to fulfill the last thing on her bucket list, a trip to the ocean to collect sea shells with her daughter Misty, granddaughter Shaily, and her high school friend Nancy Cripe.
Angie was known as a straight shooter, funny lady and a spit-fire! She was blessed with many friends who often remarked, “Angie is a funny lady with a heart of gold.” She had a lot of friends who she loved and adored but there were two special friends she claimed were, “sisters from another mister”, Carolyn Johnson and Judy Kamp.
Angie almost always worked the 3rd shift working for Torins, Moore’s Business Forms, and finally retiring from Acument Global.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and a sister Cora.
