MONICO, Decimo (Johnny) (Gianni) -
Passed away, peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, May 5, 2002.
John Monico, aged 59 years, was the beloved husband of Maria Monico.
He was the dear father of Mario and his wife Leanne, Lorena, and Paolo and his wife Christine. John is fondly remembered by two grandchildren, Robert and Rachel.
He was the dear brother of Tranquillo (Trank) and his wife Aurora, Liberale and his wife Gina, Benny and his wife Paula, all of Guelph, Giuseppe of Argentina, Guglielmo (Nino), Maria, Gina and Luciana, all of Italy.
John is survived by two aunts, Carmella Grobbo and Bruna Girardi.
He is sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother, Gino and two aunts, Maria Mason and Elena Gemin and an uncle, Valentino Girardi.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for John will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St., Guelph, on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital (cards available at the funeral home or email [email protected]). Special thanks to Dr. Bovell and the nursing staff of the sixth floor of the Guelph General Hospital.
