Monica Juanita Vaughn, age 35 passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in at Peninsula Regional medical Center in Salisbury, MD.

Monica Vaughn was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on Tuesday, July 2, 1985 to Elnora Denise Vaughn and Benjamin Wesley Heatley. Monica was a happy person with lots of energy and a big heart.

Monica was very active throughout school; she played the Cello at Radnor Middle School in Radnor, PA and she was also a member of the basketball team. In high school, Monica was a member of the Flag Squad and graduated with a certificate in food service from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 2003. Monica also attended 2 years of Community College at Chesapeake, receiving a degree in Accounting.

Monica grew up in church, where she sang on the youth choir, praise danced and her absolute favorite was playing the bongo’s. No one could play the bongo’s like Monica.

Monica was well known in the community for having a kind heart and a big infectious smile. She had a special bond with her sister Loreal that was unbreakable and the same for her brothers Eric, Craig and Benny.

Although we may mourn the passing of our beautiful daughter/sister/ niece/ cousin or friend, we can also rejoice to know that she is now in the hands of the Lord.

Monica Vaughn is survived by her mother Elnora Vaugh and father Benjamin Wheatley and grandmother Juanita Wheatley, one sister Loreal Vaughn, 3 brothers Eric Vaughn (Emily) Cambridge, MD; Craig Palmer and Benny Wheatley of Philadelphia, PA; Uncles Rodney Wheatley (Darlene) Baltimore, MD, Louis Wheatley (Pam) Roswell, GA, William Jarmon and Robert Palmer, Cambridge, MD, Dwight Palmer(Barbie) Atlanta, GA, Henry Vaughn (Tonya) Atlanta, GA.
