Theresa was born June 19, 1975 to David and Debbie (DeShon) Hurley in Des Moines, Iowa. The family moved to Abilene, Texas in 1982 where she attended school and graduated from Abilene High School. She was preceded in death by her father, David Hurley, her grandparents Dixie DeShon, Roberta Hurley, Bob & Doris Hurley, and Johnnie and Vera McBride.
Theresa is survived by her mother, Debbie McBride (Sweetie Tweetie), her stepfather, Dan McBride (Sweetheart Dad), brothers David Hurley (Jessica) of Abilene, TX, and Dan McBride (Jen) of Rolla, MO, sisters Bobbie O’Dell (Stacey) of Kilgore, TX, and Vanessa Wyrick (Keith), of Rogersville, MO, Grandparents Mel and Marilyn DeShon of Independence, KS; 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and 2 grandnieces as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her church family.
Theresa generally loved life and she loved people! She made friends wherever she went. She definitely had the gift of encouragement, as she told many “I like your outfit”, I love and like you, made gifts for many with her “arts & crafts”, and was always quick with a hug. She touched many lives and leaves a huge void. But we know, we will see her again.
